Sunflower Lane This is a blog about the production process of Sunflower Lane, a 3 episode Sesame Street-inspired TV show. The first episode tackles subjects of traditional women's health including menses, abortion, STIs, and meno/perimenopause, using a light-hearted, humor-infused tone without downplaying the seriousness of the subject. Each artist involved in the project tells their personal experience through a variety of animation techniques. We are a collective of intergenerational, gender-expansive artists (ages 19-65). In our monthly animation meetings we discuss issues and gain pertinent information from one another. Using our work as a platform, we offer this same dialogue to a wider audience.
