ALICE MELINDA COHEN (b. 1958) also known by the stage name Alice Desoto, is a New York City-based American singer, songwriter, musician and fine artist. Cohen's collages and paintings have appeared in galleries in New York City, San Francisco and elsewhere. She has made music videos for dozens of indie bands and musicians.Her work has been screened at Anthology Film Archives, the Film-Makers' Cooperative, Printed Matter, Inc., Microscope Gallery, Millennium Film Workshop, the New Museum, the Morbid Anatomy Museum, and the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw, Poland. ESTHER CROW (b.1971) is an award-winning singer, songwriter, teacher, actor and activist. She is the cofounder of The Electric Mess, a garage-punk band formed in 2007 (which has recorded 5 albums, and toured throughout the U.S., and Europe) and the founder of Thunder & Sunshine, a rock band for kids formed in 2017. Awards include an Award of Excellence from the Film Advisory Board, semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition, and a NAPPA award. Crow and her puppets (and sometimes, her family) perform regularly throughout NYC, weaving comedy and kindness into each show, while encouraging kids to shake instruments and move to the beat of her groovy tunes. She is a member of the Recording Academy (GRAMMY), a board member of the Children's Music Organization and a Coordinating Committee member of Climate Families, NYC, a grassroots group of kids and caregivers fighting for a greener, cleaner future for all. ANTONETTE GLENN (b. 1981) is a Boston based artist who primarily works in short form animation. She is the co-producer of Sunflower Lane and hosted "Show & Tell" from 2012 to 2014 to provide a space for artists in NYC to share their work. Her animations have been featured in the "Hands on the Hands Off" exhibition at the San Francisco Cinematheque and Vernissage at Fort Mason, California.
RACHAEL GUMA (b. 1981) is a light and sound artist who works with liquid light projection, Super 8 film, Theremin, turn-table manipulations, live Foley, collage, and stop motion animation. KELLY SPIVEY (b. 1967) is a Brooklyn based filmmaker and has been making films since 1998. Her films focus on themes of class, gender, women’s roles and urban anxiety, especially in relationship to our increasingly frenetic lifestyles and information overload existence. Her work has screened nationally and internationally and has won various awards. She has received support from the Queens Council on the Arts, The New York State Council on the Arts, and New York Foundation on the Arts.
